What the first conversation looks like
Photographs from the doorway and from where you sit, ceiling height at the highest and lowest point, and the finishes the ceiling has to live beside. That is enough to narrow the field considerably before anything is specified.
Most of what gets decided at this stage is proportion and silhouette — the two decisions that are hardest to change later and cost nothing to get right now.
